psychological counseling
Tailored to you, at your pace, we work on the themes that matter to you.
Sometimes you find yourself stuck in thoughts, in patterns, or in emotions that feel overwhelming or hard to understand.
In our sessions, together we’ll explore where this comes from and how you can relate to it in a different way.
Alongside talking, I also work with what shows up in your body. The breath plays an important role in that, it often reveals, quite clearly, what’s going on beneath the surface. By slowing down and tuning into your body, space can open up for insight, relaxation, and change.
I draw from various therapeutic methods, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), EMDR, Schema Therapy, ACT, and mindfulness, but always in an embodied way, using breath as a guide. Depending on your needs, we’ll choose the approach that best fits you and your process.
Working with the body and breath is sometimes unfairly seen as vague or ‘new age’.
What I want to offer is something much more grounded: there is nothing more natural than your body and your breath. I do believe this work can open the door to something deeper, call it connection, meaning, or something spiritual. If you’re open to that, there is always space for it.
How can I help you?
Are you feeling stuck in life because of fears you just can’t seem to overcome?
Do you feel down or low, without knowing exactly why? Or maybe you do know where your sadness comes from, but you’d like to share it with someone who’s not part of your inner circle.
Perhaps you’ve experienced something intense recently or long ago and you still feel its impact. Or maybe you’re overwhelmed by everything life is asking of you: work, social expectations, parenting.
Sometimes we get stuck in our relationships with others, or with ourselves.
You might be feeling tension around sexuality, a sense of disconnection, or desires that are difficult to talk about with yourself or your partner.
These are all deeply human experiences. You don’t have to be “broken” to seek therapy. Sometimes it’s simply too much to carry alone, and it can help to have someone alongside you.
In our sessions, I take the time to really listen to your story without judgment.
Together we’ll explore what you’re struggling with and what you need to move forward. That might involve gaining insight into your patterns, building resilience, or learning new tools to cope with difficult emotions or situations.
I don’t diagnose you. You don’t need a label to be taken seriously. If you do want or need a diagnosis, I’m happy to support you in finding the right path or to offer guidance while you’re waiting for further care within the mental health system.
